How to take screenshot on Mac | MacBook M1,M2,Pro for all versions | 2023



To take a screenshot on a MacBook, you can use the following keyboard shortcuts:


1. Capture the entire screen:

Press Command (⌘) + Shift + 3. The screenshot will be saved on your desktop.

2. Capture a portion of the screen:

 Press Command (⌘) + Shift + 4. The cursor will turn into a crosshair pointer. Click and drag the crosshair over the area you want to capture. Release the mouse button to take the screenshot. The screenshot will be saved on your desktop.


3. Capture a specific window:

Press Command (⌘) + Shift + 4, then press the spacebar. The cursor will turn into a camera pointer. Move the camera pointer over the window you want to capture, and it will be highlighted in blue. Click to take the screenshot. The screenshot will be saved on your desktop.

4. Capture the Touch Bar (for MacBook Pro users):

Press Command (⌘) + Shift + 6. The screenshot will be saved on your desktop.

Note: If you have macOS Mojave or later, you can also use the Screenshot app to take screenshots. To open the Screenshot app, press Command (⌘) + Shift + 5.
